At sea and in Prince Christian Sound Greenland
A very quiet day, we were in the Prince Christian Sound early and when I opened the blinds there was the most amazing view of the fjord, pics following.
May well be the best fjord we’ve ever been in, the tall mountains had a dusting of snow and they looked like something out of a fairy tale. We passed many glaciers and even a little village in the middle of nowhere.
Our cruise director, Ray, had his own show before dinner. Worked to a packed house!! He is something else, a marvellous singer and a puppeteer. He has some Marionettes which are over 50 years old. His first ship appointment was on the QE2 in 1969 and he has performed for the Queen with his puppets.
Dinner was very enjoyable and following that was a Beatles night in the Galileo Lounge - very good music and singing by the orchestra and entertainers and of course much dancing and revelry by the guests. Wondered if there might be an orthopedic surgeon on call as many oldies tripping the light fantastic!!!!
Played the slots for 10mins on the way back to the room and won $60.
